Frequently Asked Questions

The Conference will take place in Monaco, at the Grimaldi Forum, on 3 and 4 November 2026.

The central theme is “Safer and Healthier Sport for All Children,” structured around two key areas:

  • The prevention, detection, and response to violence and abuse committed against children;
  • The role of sport in promoting young people’s physical and mental health, as well as their overall well-being.

The Conference is a key event of Monaco’s Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. It will offer a unique opportunity to discuss major issues related, on the one hand, to violence suffered by children in sports contexts, and on the other hand, to physical and mental health in sport.

On the margins of the Conference, Ministers will take part in a restricted informal exchange with the EPAS Secretariat on current activities and ongoing work.

In addition, all participants will be able to attend the event celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events (CETS No. 218, known as the “Saint-Denis Convention”).

Furthermore, a signing ceremony or the deposit of instruments of ratification may be organized for the three Council of Europe conventions related to sport (safety and security at sports events, manipulation of sports competitions, and doping).

The Conference is organized by EPAS and the Princely Government.

Participants will include Ministers responsible for sport, senior officials, members of the Council of Europe, and representatives of EPAS, as well as representatives of sports organizations, experts, and youth delegates.

An online registration form will be made available on this website several months before the Conference.

Participants are strongly encouraged to register as soon as they receive the invitation, or in any case as early as possible, in order to facilitate logistical arrangements and accreditation procedures.
